Full-Time General Teller

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Full-Time General Teller's primary function is to provide effective, efficient and accurate services to the bank's customers in accordance with the bank's quality service goals as well as promote bank products and services to meet customer needs and provide financial solutions.


DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Scan and balance deposits and receive loan payments
  • Dispense cash for checks, savings withdrawals and split deposits
  • Issue official checks and drafts
  • Enter transactions in bank's core system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts
  • Complete customer requests to order/return foreign currency, international drafts and process international collection items
  • Proactively and responsively promote, cross-sell, and recommend the bank’s financial products
  • Ensure the safety of all negotiables and confidential records in personal work area

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

  • Carry out detailed written or oral instructions and solve problems with simple and few concrete variables
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. No previous banking experience is required.
  • Ability to operate calculators, teller machines and basic computer software.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail while working quickly and accurately
  • Project a warm and friendly attitude in all contacts with bank personnel and the public as well as establish and maintain working relationships with fellow employees.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Ability to perform light physical labor (lifting up to 35lbs.), as well as perform drive-up lane mechanical and general teller functions, and stand for extended periods of time.
